Are you worried about viewing your own site?

I quite often view my site 'live' but I am not thinking maybe I'll get booted for inflating impressions of adverts.

Does anyone else regularly view their own site live?

Sometimes I like to view which ads are being served to my pages.

Is there anyway around this without the risk of violating the TOS?

Hi guys -

Sorry for the slow response... As mentioned on another thread ([webmasterworld.com ]), you can view or make updates to your own site without worrying about invalid impressions.

Hope that provides some clarification!

What about if your user set your site as their Homepage,so whe ever user open up a new browser window makes an impression. Is this allowed? I guess not.

I spend A LOT of time on my sites' forums every day. That's why I started them in the first place.

I would take adsense down before I stopped posting to my forums...

Thanks for the clarification ASA.

However, I am still a bit concerned. This is because I use a number of different computers to check my site or my adsense account from time to time. These are on different networks (home, work, etc.), and I never thought it was an issue.

Is it still safe to do this? Or does Google consider only one machine as the one from which you are allowed to view your own site.

I hope the latter is not the case otherwise, I think it's a bit restrictive.

Thanks,
sr123
