aeiouyThey do ban individual domain names, and leave the others alone.
We have several domains and received an email last week telling us a few sites were in violation of the TOS. The offending domains were blocked from receiving ads, but the rest are fine. They are all from one AdSense account.
I don't know if that constitutes a ban.. I imaigne if you fixed the sites to be within the TOS they would be allowed to carry ads again. Being banned is a bit more serious than that. If you got invalid clicks on a single site, they will not just ban that single domain.
I think specific domains being blocked is probably the exception.
Specific domains are blocked when the content of a site is against the rules: like adult content etc. In the case of invalid clicks normally the whole account is closed, but I remember one thread not long ago where a member was reinstated after invalid clicks on one specific domain. After the publisher was reinstated, AdSense started showing again on all domains execpt that one.
Going back to the original poster, It is weird when you received the dreaded email and your account is disabled, but ads are still showing. Normally the ads are shutdown at the same moment as the account is closed to prevent inflated costs for the advertisers.
Lets please try to remember a couple of issues:
a- use a great title that describes the post when posting.
b- stay on point to the original message.
c- don't has questions in the middle of a thread. start a new thread with a new topic.
so, I got rid of about 30 off topic msgs in this thread.
sorry to do that in the middle of the thread.
Any way, back to the original question - yes, we have heard from alot of people that after Google disabled their account, that ads kept serving for up to a couple of days.
