How do I make it show an Amazon skyscraper in place of the PSA's?

The Amazon skyscraper is an i-frame, otherwise known as Sleazy Link. Can I just put the i-frame code in a text file and link to the text file like it was SSI?

I'm not sure b/c I haven't had reason to try. But can you create an HTML file which calls Amazon's code and use the HTML file you created as the URL for the AdSense alternate ads? I did something similar (not involving an IFRAME) and it worked.

Make a blank html file with the default code like <html><head>...... </body></html>

Insert the amazon code into that file with the appropriate attributes such as <center> align, etc.

Save it as xyz.html and upload it to any location on your server/website such as www.abc.com/google/xyz.html

Now, use the above url in the alternate ad link and paste the new google adsense code onto your webpages and its all set :)

aroach> Full credit to you - that's an excellent idea to use amazon as an AdSense backup!

I've just run a test on one page where I selected four books relevant to the page content and pasted them into a skyscraper div (120x600).

I had to set up a dummy page with no content to persuade Google to fetch the backup rather than displaying ads but it works like a dream!

Now my readers get relevant websites or relevant books!

Whatever I did last night, I totally broke my Adsense. I've had zero impressions today since attempting to put a Linkshare banner in there last night until I figured out the Amazon. Sure wish I'd checked my stats sooner than now.

Going to try your idea, ronin. I'd rather handpick the products than use the Easy links. Maybe I can use AWS to make my skyscraper.
