If you make good money from adsense, why doesn't anyone share the actual domain name of their site so we can analyze it for ourselves?

I currently make an average of $10 a day, I hardly call that good.

If nobody shares their domain name, does anyone know of a website that makes great adsense money?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld RudyToot.

why doesn't anyone share the actual domain name of their site so we can analyze it for ourselves?

Because it would be against our Terms of Service. [webmasterworld.com]

Plenty of sites do make good money. A better way to learn how to improve your earning ability with the program is to stick around here, read and ask questions.

If you're making great money, would you tell everyone your site for people to analyze and risk getting more competitors?

I think sharing an occasional tip is ok, but you probably won't find many people volunteering their site to be analyzed.

Okay ... it was just a question.

I've been using Adsense for about a year now. Using the images above the ads seemed improved my site from about $3 a day to the $10 I'm making now.

I just try to find sites that have great layouts of the adsense ads to analyze and improve my own.

I just don't want to have to buy joel's ebook as I think all the reading/studying I've been doing online has covered probably most of what he offers.

Nobody in their right mind who is making good money should post their url. Who's to say that some jealous person won't start clicking your ads repeatedly so that they can get you banned?

Despite the talk of this possibility, I am not aware that there is any evidence that this has ever occurred.

Hah ... I didn't expect answers so fast. This is a cool forum and will be researching past posts and contributing whenever possible.

I knew this was a touchy question but I'm the type of person that just says what everyone else is thinking!

That depends on how everyone sees the "good" money.

To some 10$ a day is way too good, while others will consider 500$ a bad day.

RudyToot,

I like your thinking, and I agree that it would be nice to see how some of the successful sites are making it.
Out of curiosity, what is your URL?
(You can send a sticky mail if you prefer)

Thanks,

Is that really a thing? If people click on your google ads too much you can get banned? Now I'm freaked to share it!

Is there a post going already that people can check other peoples sites and offer suggestions? Without having to worry about people clicking too much on your ads to try and get you booted?

We have to have something to do while we are waiting for our stats to update so we hang around here reading about other people's stats :-)

The first post of the following thread has a link to the transcript of a google adsense webinar:

[webmasterworld.com...]

You can find some example sites there.

Probably not at WebmasterWorld, since posting of URLs is not allowed here.

This is taken directly from the Weblogs Inc. network blog. He is doing alright, but there are a lot bigger earners out there. The guy was at SES on the adsense pannel i believe.

******************
If back in September when we started playing with Google Adsense someone told me it would turn into a $1M a year business I would have laughed. A million bucks without a sales person? Give me a break!
However, yesterday we broke our $2,100 record with a $2,335 day. That’s an impressive number I know, because if we can take that number to $2,739.72 we’re at—wait for it—$1M a year.
