Two or more units on one page?

Hi you all..

If i have two adsense units on one page, would that decrease the high paying ads that is shown or it wouldn't make a difference? Thanks, Danny

there's sort of a hierarchy in terms of ad positioning. Higher bidders being more predominantly placed.

You'd still get the highest-paying ads, but you'd also get lower-paying ones. That could drive down your average for a click.

In fact that's exactly what I've found on pages that held only one ad unit and then had 2 and 3 added. When I added the additional ads just about everything went down. When I removed them it came back up.

When I add additional adverts:

1) EPC goes down
2) Overall earnings go up

It causes some lower paying ads to be displayed in your "second" ad box. Just make sure your Ad with the highest CTR is the first one that loads on the page.

I had just the opposite - when I added more ad blocks my revenue went up.

Then again, I run a niche directory and people are coming to me looking for "stuff" so the more "stuff" I can show them the better it seems to pay.

I started with just a leaderboard and skyscraper. Then I added AdLinks and my revenue increased even more. Then by accident I ended up with 2 leaderboards plus the skyscraper and ad links and now I'm making even more money.

You never know, it varies from site to site.

It all depends on the person site, some people are more successful with 5 ads on a page while others are better of with 1.
