I've just received my check from G (from Ireland) by DHL (Not Fedex of UPS), but now they are using a plastic bag (not a carton envelope) and my check looks like hell.

They are using

Small Express Flyer

[dhl.com.au...]

I hope I will not have problems at the bank :(

hahaha... me too... here in the Philippines. In addition to your observation, the envelop for May payment is smaller that the envelop of April payment.

Has anybody received express secured checks from Google in the US? The ones coming from Dublin.

Yup, you pay 25 bucks to get your check sent in a bag with no protection at all...

eCommando, I'm also in the US and have not received my DHL baggie. My payment date is 6/26/2005, exactly one week ago today. :(

I've received my last few checks via DHL but this is the latest in memory.

Thank you Google.

My Yellow OCASA envelope arrived by courier today in the far reaches of Venezuela - 1 week earlier than previous cheques.

Notice it's from Citibank- Global Payment and sent through Mexico.

Thanks again.

come on guys, today you are complaining about the quality of the envelope, and tommorow you will be complaining about the paper quality of a check. If you want the best and the fastest way to get your money deposited into your account, then do EFT. It's no brainer. Just enter you account #, branch # and transit # and you are done. It takes you less than 30 seconds to do so.

There is a point behind all of this. When I recoeved my pin number, the "Envelope" that it comes in is open at the ends so anybody could get the number. The envelopes are not secure, yet Google keep talking about being worried about privacy and security

Someone who sees your pin number on an envelope is not going to be able to login to your account with your unique password and enter the PIN number.

The security is still there and it works to verify that the addres is valid and that a person gets their email.

While a thief could steal your pin, they don't have both pieces to the puzzle, so it wouldn't do them any good. In which case, that particular security check by Google would have worked...meaning your mail probably isn't secure if you can't even get a PIN number safely (in which case they'd have to work out another way to send you your payment).

it's a no brainer?
tell Google to allow Australia on the list to accept EFT payment then will you?

get a clue before you make such observations that you obviously know nothing about.

in reply to the topic, i still get the yellow envelope in AU via DHL.

Yes, I will. I will immediately call Google and ask them to send you your check by Fedex. (hahahaha) Just for the record, I thought you guys live in the USA and Canada. As far as I see it, the rest of the world is not important (at least to me). :)

get a clue before you make such observations that you obviously know nothing about.

Which observations I 'obviously know nothing about'? Enough of your complaints. If you don't like Google, then don't use it. It's that simple. Nobody forces you to use Google program. If you don't like their envelopes, send them self-stamped envelope and politely ask them to mail you your check. :)

No EFT in Egypt :(

Ok bro, at least you replied politely, and not like this rude Ausie. :)

nowhere did i say i didn't like Google.
on the contrary.
and i didn't say i didn't like there envelopes if that was aimed at me.
i found your original post a bit insulting to people in those countries that Google doesn't allowed EFT payments for.
if people could get EFT they would of-course alot of times accept that method as the form of payment.
enough #*$!ing, have a good day. :-)

Dentol,

I have no choice. I got this following email from Google. By the way I found out that they won't do EFT for amount higher than $60K.

I set up my payments for EFT. Not complaining about the Google check. Just wondering when I will receive it b/c everyone else seems to have gotten theirs and EXPRESS SECURED people haven't received them yet.

"As you're aware, payments by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) are in beta.
During the beta period, we've placed a limit on the monthly amount that we will pay any single publisher by EFT. We've placed this limit given that the bank control review process imposed on bank transfers of high dollar amounts is stricter and increases the likelihood of payment delays and/or
failures.

The dollar amount of your payment this month is above our policy limit.

As a result, we've updated your form of payment to local currency checks, which we'll send via secured express delivery for this month. "
