I guess at least in my keyword sectors, advertisers are pulling there ads over the weekend (Fri eve. through Sunday).
First time I have ever noticed it drop away so substantially on a Friday, but I guess that is the nature of AdSense.
Still, I do OK from AdSense so I am not complaining too loudly.
Public holidays are pretty dead too - 4th July was a real duffer.

but true about people surfing at work! nothing beats the 9to5'ers. bless their hearts! they say people waste 2 hours at work a day, love those polls.

weekend are weaker genrally in all sites but not as weak like today.
It's always been my pattern. I do best when corporate America is it it's desk surfing instead of working! Fridays are usually lower than the rest of the week, and weekends are always slow.Public holidays are pretty dead too - 4th July was a real duffer.
That is EXACTLY what my experience has been for all of my sites for the last 2 years (or however long I've been with adsense). If corporate America would ever force workers to work 7 days a week, I'd be a happy camper!
Yes, today is a disaster , i am down to 30 % . if making 100 till now then made only 30 today. Apx same page views and same cliks but seems like cpm and cpc is too low today.
Man i am missing something in the boat, as soon as i think i got the speed then something like this happens and back to pavalion. either way over all last week was great. But today I feel pity that my earning could be so low /day. :)

Seriously--online usage has endured summer slumps since the early days of BBSes, GEnie, Delphi, and CompuServe, and it stands to reason that weekends would be even slower than weekdays at this time of year.
I've noticed a huge drop as of Friday on all my sites, not only for adsense but also for sales in general. I've put it down to summer holidays, first weekend of school holidays and that kind of thing
Me too. I've pinpointed the problem, at least for my sites - Yahoo update. It has destroyed my rankings there and because I have relied heavily on Y and MSN traffic, it's killing my business. Since Friday, traffic is down over 50% and AS earnings have tanked hard. My one hope for the short-term is that the update is still going on and things will settle down.
I've been building sites since Feb. 2004, and to this day none of them is ranked at Google in the top 100 for any keyword. I only lightly SEO my sites, so I can't figure out why no rankings... none, zero, zilch. That's why I have relied so heavily on Y and MSN for traffic.
a) stay home like a good little foil hat wearing nerd, surf the net and click your ads
or,
b) go out and hit the clubs, drink beer, party, wake up wearing lampshade as a hat
Which would you pick?
OH YEA, some of my rankings dropped severely in Yahoo too but my earnings shot up 25% so if that's what it takes to get rich Yahoo should just dump me altogether :)
