4 Links vs. 5 Links Per Unit

Hey guys,

Has anyone noticed how the links perform when you change 4 Links per Unit vs. 5 Links per unite, let's say in the 200-15 size?

5 links has more links it's kind of more attractive, but it's smaller and perhaps confusing.

I used to have 4 links per unit, but today wanted to change it to 5 links per unit and see how will it perform.

Has anyone tested and recorded the difference?

I use a 160 x 90 5 AdLinks unit since it blends in so well with my navigation, the results have been good therefore I have no intention of trying the 4 AdLinks.

I use 5 link option simply because more is better.

I use the 5 link ad unit and it was great until about a week ago and then it totally tanked. Starting to come back up now and I assume it's advertisers coming and going.

I have used 4 because the text is a little bit more readable and eye catching. In the beginning, I considered 5 for more choices, but decided 4 more readable choices was enough. YMMV.

As it is, the 4 links are a bit bigger and outshout my own nav links at the left by a bit. So that might not be a good option if you want the user to browse around your site a bit more.

I also face that dilema about the navigation and also the size of 4-5 links.

also remember, more links means more chances that the cheaper ads will show up... i currently use the 4-link cuz the text matches the size of my site's default text.

I use the 120x90 4 link unit with big success.

Never change a winning team, so I did not test the 5 link unit until now.
