2nd AdSense Account

What is necessary to get one?

As my little web enterprise grows, I could really use a second AdSense account.

I remember something a while back where they would let you open a second account under certain circumstances.

Does anyone have info on this or know what you would have to do to get a 2nd account? Thanks.

Are you wanting to get a second account that they know about (and is tied to your current account)? Or are you wanting to take steps to get a second account they don't know about, incase the original is suspended?

For a second account they know about, it seems to be more on a "by permission" only basis, rather than just following a standard set of criteria for a second account.

For one they don't know about, it is a lot more complex ;)

No, I have no yet applied.

Several reasons I am thinging about it...

1. Running out of Channels
2. Running out of filter slots

I would never try and hide the fact I already have one. I had just heard that sometimes you can get a second one and was curious as to how.

Since you may put adsense on any site you own with the one account, as long as it is in compliance, why on earth would you want a second account? Doesn't make sense.

You can create a corporation and open a new account under the corporate tax number. (from my experience)

Be careful about filling up the filter slots - that is likely to kill your EPC.

From the start Google have always been very fussy about not allowing second accounts. They discouraged it as much as possible and often very proactively and with a great amount of zeal. I suspect they have some good reason for that - perhaps something to do with fraud detection. However, in the early days you could get a second account under some circumstances. Now, I believe they've tightened up even on that. If you have an LTD company you can open an account in the company name as well as your own; that's the easiest way for one person to have two accounts. Other than that I suspect you'll be turned down unless you have some very, very convincing arguments supporting your need for two accounts.

So if I have a Corporation with an account and then create a sole proprietorship I can get an account for it?
