Is there usually a set amount of time or minimum amount of time that CPM ad campaigns run for? a week? a month? Or is it based on when $XXX.XX is gone.

Seems the latter - when the $ are gone. Advertisers bid and set a budget, and the campaign ends when the budget ends I suppose. The CPM campaigns running on our site only runs for a couple of days or so (the longest was 5 days but we filtered them out).

I haven't seen a campaign that works like banner ad network's CPM campaigns where advertisers buy huge impressions that can run for weeks and months. Maybe when the CPM campaigns attract the bigger advertisers with the bigger budgets, then we'll see something similar with Adsense. Until then, it comes in spurts.

Vonage seems to be doing a big CPM campaign that is running and running--for weeks now. I've seen it on premium publisher sites.

What exactly is a "premium publisher" site?

I've seen it on sites that I know for a fact aren't premium publisher sites.

Are you sure those are Vonage ads in Adsense? Because Vonage for several months now have been running campaigns in ad networks such as Burst using creatives that mimic the look and feel of an Adsense ad. Their banners and skys look like an Adsense ad but they're running it through the ad networks, just imitating an Adsense ad to improve clickthrough probably

The sites I've seen it on don't use any other ad network except for AdSense.

I have seen the vonage CPM ads on might own site. I have not blocked them because I have been doing well with them (higher earnings each day).

I mentioned I'd seen the Vonage ads on premium publisher sites--the ones with lotsa page views, to whom different rules apply--because that's where I'd seen them. But I'm not surprised to hear they are in the regular network too.

I just thought it looked like a good example of an obviously big-budget and long-running CPM campaign.
