Yes, everyone has to admit that many web sites in the Internet are made solely in the purpose of cheating Adsense. You can find out many poorly designed web sites with, of course, junk content that benifit none displaying an Asense box in the Internet.

These web sites can actually harmful to Google and other web site owners who rely on Adsense to buy their bread. Think about that over 70% Adsense members are spammers and cost great loss to Google and as a result, Adsense closes down. The rest 30% 'real' members, including you and me, as well as those advertisers, will suffer a lot.

It is the Adsense Policies that every member can put their unique adsense code in as many site as they have, that give a definite chance to spammers.I have written to Google asking review on every sites containg adsense box, but gain no reply. It seems that Google does not think it si a problem, but actually the problem is getting worse and worse.

OK, do you want me to tell you the biggest (and the oldest) scraper in the world. Get your notebooks out - it's READERS DIGEST. I think their current circulation is 100 million copies a month (worldwide) and all they do is reprint most interesting stories they find. So, get over it, folks, scrapers are here to stay and I can guarantee that their looks and design will improve over time. Copyright issues aside, Google is a scraper itself, at least Google cache and Google Pictures (there have been numerous lawsuits from adult industry on Google and Yahoo! storing porn images on their service, the same ones the XXX websites charge for access too). Get over it, would ya. The only think scapers will never have is repeat visitors. Just concentrate on that.

actually there are numerous scraper sites out there that you would think are real sites, i guarantee they will trick all of you.

Like David just said, "They will evolve over time" and the more you try and combat them, the faster they will evolve.

honkam, why wouldn't you focus on your site. Are you so freaking jealous that you made a nice looking site and didnt make good money from it?

If so, then find some ways to monetize it rather than being a watchdog to everybody.

You are not google employee and you dont know what you are talking about.

Purveyors of scrapers can delude themselves any way they choose (and from comments here, boy do they....) But comments from advertisers in the AdWords forum suggest that conversions from scraper sites are typically extraordinarily poor, and they stand as one of the leading reasons why advertisers drop out of contextual search.

Well, just stop bi*tching about scapers and get to work.
I have no problems with scapers, expept for when I search for something and they get in the search results and Google does fairly good job weeding them out. As AdSense publisher I don't care about scrapers at all.

Well they drive down EPM I guess, and overall confidence of visitors and advertisers in Adsense.

Certainly, haven't got much competition from them, although they try. If you are pushed down by scrapers it's time to make a better site probably ;)

You should since the poor convertion rates on scrapers sites drive advertiser away from the Content Network and therefore reduce demand for our ad space. When demand decreases, so does EPC.

Hyperkik - of course its the scrapers fault. It couldnt be that the site designs of the advertisers sites are utter rubbish could it?

Its always easier to blame someone else when you are a failure in life, seems like you and your friends fit that bill perfectly.

Obviously, particularly through a service like AdSense, a business can distinguish sources of "good leads" and "bad leads" even if the business has an ugly website.

Its always easier to blame someone else when you are a failure in life, seems like you and your friends fit that bill perfectly.

Is that why you blame the advertisers?

Whew! Nothing perks me up more than a heated thread like this! And always at the center of it all is the word 'scraper.' Maybe that's another reason why scraper sites are here to stay - we love talking about them! There will always be a newbie lurking around, getting the idea, and building one for himself!

BTW, I'm not complaning, I enjoy threads like this. :)

Maybe I should just set up a scraper site and see how much money they make?

New AdSense account, new bank account, put it in my kid's name....

Temptation vs Laziness, sadly lazy may win.

You might be joking but I am considering the same thing, very curious if Adsense would accept the site if I submit it. I'll certainly post my experiences here if I do.

Depends on how much work it would be though, but I don't think it will be that much.

put it in my kid's name....

I think the dark side already has you ;)
