New Ad Type?

Ad links inside 728x90 ad block

I've seen it about three times today on my site, it's a standard 728x90 ad block with one (normally far left or far right) ad area replaced with an ad link area headed "Change to ads about:" with three alternatives listed below.

I do also run an adlinks block on this page and they match the first three on the adlink block.

Anyone else seen this?

I have an image of one but of course no way to post it here...

Yep, seen it two or three times in different ad block formats but it never stays long. Guess they're testing.

I wonder if this is for use instead of a blank space when they don't have sufficient quality ad inventory for a page?

Or could it be for situations when G isn't really sure what the page is about?

I saw it a few times but I wish they had informed us about them and gave us the option before randomly testing them like that!

petra, it's not their first mistake. Google is quickly dying in all aspects (adsense, adwords, serps, etc..). Everything seems bad in google. But as they are bringing me most of the searching engine traffic, and adsense revenue, I cannot complain until another empire takes over its place.
