Sorry but... what's an EFT?
Electronic Funds Transfer - Direct Deposit. It is the recent electronic method of payment (from bank to bank instead of paper checks) that Google Adsense released last month.
More information is on the adsense site when you login. It is still in Beta and limited to a few countries to start with.

Hey, have you heard about the Adsense EFT? It's really cool. At the end of each month Google transfers funds into your account, then a useless thread is created on WebmasterWorld.

It's also easily avoidable if you choose not to participate :)
I find it helpful to know if everyone else received a payment and my payment isn't showing.
It gives folks a heads up to watch for a payment (or lack thereof)

It's a better thread than all the moaning "my earnings are down" threads which aren't as despressing as "my check never arrived" threads which can only be topped by the "my adsense account was cancelled!" threads.
My personal favorite threads are the "Google is taking my money to make the quarter" paranoia threads in need of professional therapy.
Anyway, at least the cash arrived in time for a nice weekend at the casino :)

Personally, the cancelled my account threads are my favorite form of cheap entertainment. Especially the ones that start off with, "Google cancelled my mom's site. Why?"
Last month EFT failed for some reason so Google eventually sent me an email saying that they'd send the payment by check, which they did. I re-entered my info. to get payment by EFT and this month it worked. My Google payment history shows the EFT payment dated May 25 and this afternoon (May 27) when I checked my bank account the funds were reflected in my balance and the transaction had the description "AUTOMATED CREDIT GOOGLE ADSENSE REVENUE SH" (I suspect there was more - "SH" is probably short for "SHARE" or "SHARING"). The transaction had not appeared in my bank account yesterday afternoon when I had last checked.

nanotopia - stop wasting web space, nobody's asking you to read these posts, and this thread definitely doesn't need your posts to keep it going, you should be enjoying getting the money without delays and trips to the bank with a cheque that turns up weeks later! chill man save your moans for elsewhere..
