All though I do believe I read something about you having to do tax information if you are using a hosting provider in the United States.
I doubt they would even find out if you were using a US provider. Unless maybe you are spending 10K+ per month on hosting.
I use a Canadian dedicated hosting provider to support my country & avoid that issue and they can actually meet the US bandwidth prices. I'm pleased :)
I face the same thing. I am a Non-US Publisher and I was shown Tax related information when I logon to my account. My site is hosted in USA. I couln't found the appropriate TAX form for me so I choose No US Activity.
Can anyone clarify it that Non US Publisher (whose sites are hosted in USA)are required to pay taxes or not.
Me too choose no US activity. Will it create problem for me with google or not?
Any information in this regard will be welcomed.
Thanks
Kashif
Note that this is a general rule that every US company must follow, not just Google. I had to fill in forms for my book royalties, for example, even though as a Canadian citizen I don't actually pay taxes in the US. But I still had to send in the paperwork.
Chances are Google won't have to withhold anything in the money it sends to you, but you have to do the paperwork....
