EFT works fine and is faster because you don't have to wait 3 weeks after bringing the check to the bank.

Of course you do, but I believe there is a minimum you can earn tax free.

look into making yourself "zelfstanding in bijberoep"; you can do this IF you have a "hoofdberoep" of min x hrs / week;

being "self employed as a second job" you pay a minimal amount of tax and if your income off the second job is below a certain amount, you dont pay taxes on it; you also get a tax number (btw)

You don't have to pay any BTW-tax, but you may have to pay tax over your income.

I would like to try EFT, since it seems to work fine here in Belgium.
I looked into my account and I am a little surprised though: all you have to do is enter your bank account number and Google does the rest? No Iban number, no Bank Name or address?

Can you guys confirm, before my money goes to anybody else? ;o)

yes, only your bank account, no IBAN, it worked fine by me :)

Kolb, there are no costs involved with EFT, so it's cheaper than cheques.

I'm not sure, do you mean that the rates Google applies are less profitable than the rates from your dollar to € compartment?

Or do you mean that you keep the dollars on your account until the dollar is in a better position?
