Wanted to be the first to report the G is about to send $$$. I have a note on my payment history page that reads, "Payment in progress" - no link, just that message and the amount from March.

That probably maps to "Payment Calculated" or something similar.

Thanks, fearlessrick.

That makes sense then. The email they sent said that publishers that selected EFT payments would see their "Payment in Progress" link show up a bit later than those that selected check.

Direct deposit is offered for the webmasters in 15 countries only. Most of the asian contries are not listed in that list.

No payment here yet. I did notice a Google Adsense entry on my electronic bank statement from about 10 days ago though.

At least they know where to put the money :-)

Of two accounts serviced:

Account 1. Check payment - "In Progress"
Account 2. EFT Payment - still only shows earnings.

My guess is they submitted the check to their processor...eft's may go somewhere else: )

I am not sure if you guys received this email, but on the 22nd, Google sent out an email to publishers, and here is part of it:

"First of all, EFT payment details will be posted to your Payment History page slightly later than check payment details."

So, what will come after "Payment in progress..."?

They will start sending out checks after the "progress" is completed?

I just saw a 'Payment in Progress' entry below march's earnings.

All seeing this now? I think last month I missed this, and went directly from Earnings to Payment!

I'm actually seeing a link (Payment) and all the details: payment type, etc. showing check cut on April 25. Should be here tomorrow if recent history (last month came out of Buffalo, and I'm in Rochester, about 70 miles away) is any kind of guide.

I get paid by check, so sorry, no EFT info.

The exchange rate is satisfactory.

Actually I am not overly happy with the exchange rate. With the amount of money in, the difference between what G has given me and what I could have got at a bank has cost me more than it would have cost to process a US$ cheque.

Can only hope that the local currency cheques are written on local banks and arrive sooner.

Otherwise I will revert to US$ cheques until EFT is available in more countries.

Visit Thailand - I agree with you - I was worried that this would be the case with the local currency cheques.

The rate is off the Bangkok Bank and Kasikorn rate (I'm assuming you're in Thailand) sufficient that it would have been cheaper to bank a USD cheque and wait the 42 days for it to clear. The diference is marginal, but as earning increase so will the margin.

Disappointed.

Agreed. The more I tap away on my calculator, and with interest rates as low as they are I think I will revert by the end of the day to US$ cheques.

The difference between what I would have got at a bank even after all the fees etc and what G is sending me is quite substantial.

Add in: BTW could a mod be so kind as to change the title of this thread to Payment Approved so we do not end up with loads of other Payment Approved threads.

I agree with you Visit Thailand - But since my earning is not so high I think the diffirence is not significant for me. I remember google telling me that the check would be issued in singapore, I wonder how long it can be cashed here in Hongkong. If it would take the same amount of time as cashing a usd check, I would as well revert to USD check.

Strange why they would issue a HK$ cheque in Singapore. Will have to wait and see I guess. If it is a local cheque on a HK bank (for you) it should be credited immediately. Although previously my bank had agreed to purchase most of the US$ cheques so that was not such an issue, as the money was there the next day.
