A way to make adsense show higher paying ad's?

Without breaking any rules

I run a website on a certain band, lets say The Rolling Stones for example.

All the ads are Rolling Stones related, and worth about 5 cents a click, but I recently found a site that said "legal music downloads" is going for around $8 dollars a click.

Now this could be an ad my visitors are interested in, and is music related.

But is there a way to target those ad's, without breaking any rules?

I know I could mention legal music downloads somewhere on the page... But "Rolling Stones" is mentioned so many times, it targets those kind of ad's, and I don't want to clutter the page with the "legal music downloads" term too many times, just to get it to show up.

Any ideas?

You can't always get what you want. You seem to be caught between a rock and a hard place. I've got mixed emotions about doing what you propose and wild horses wouldn't make me risk my adsense account.

Sorry, couldn't resist it :o)

There certain is a way. Write some good content on how to download their music legally. Good content that is of interest to your readers is always the right and best way to ensure you are reaching a high quality audience that advertisers will want to also reach.

That's it exactly. Create a page about downloading music and maybe do some reviews on such sites. A great way to beef up your Stones collection. You won't get the ads on every page. These sites might even have affiliate programs that could bring you a lot more money than the AdSense would.

I agree with everything your guys are saying.

But what if you blocked all the 5 cent ad's?

And had the legal music downloads term on the page.

Would those ad's then maybe show up, and would this be allowable?
