Hello all, I'm new to this entire webmastering game and I just want to say I've learned a Masters Degree worth of information during the time I've been lurking here. You guys rock!

My question is this. I noticed that since I've added AdSense to certain pages on my site, the amount of time it takes for those pages to load has increased dramatically, or sometimes they don't load at all. Has anyone else noticed this?

If this question has been asked before, please point me to it. I did look.

If you put a javascript call to an external server inside a table, of course it will slow the load time of the page, because the browser has to load all the table contents before rendering it in the browser.

Hope that helps - it's a normal function of adding elements to a page, if you've done some web dev work before where you make a javascript call to another server, it's usually done in a footer, below a content table or something, because of the slow down in load time for the content section.

Cheers.

Thank you for the quick response.

I didn't think of that since I replaced banners from other external servers with the AdSense banner.

Thanks again.

Mine is slow as well and I have a totally table-free CSS layout.

Doesn't really matter since my content loads first but I would like it to be faster.
