I don't have a solution, but this evening I noticed a poor ad choice by Google: On a web page devoted to a particular kind of learning disability, one whose victims sometimes run into trouble as teenagers, one of the "ads by Google" was for "Parole Lawyers."

Hello: Just today Adsense approved me and I have no problem with the code, it works, but does it take some time before targeted product links appear? For example, if my page is targeting men's colognes, will the regular Adsense code start to kick in at some point to produce men's cologne ads? Right now, it is showing People finder ads and IE ads. Maybe it just takes awhile to adjust... what does it respond to? The title tag? Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

OK, the ads are at least displaying gifts. All the wrong gifts, but gifts at least. SO I am placing the code on all my top entry pages. I just would like to target more pointedly the type of gifts on the page where the code is, but maybe it is not possible. I have to study a site where I see the webmaster has somehow got the right tags or keyword setup to trigger tight targeted product tags. I will keep you posted.

I have seen the same problems.

Solution #1 -
I emailed Adsense, and told them that a page of mine seemed to be "hard-wired" to produce not-so-targetted ads. I suggested that such-and-such ads would be more appropriate. I received a general type response, but the targetting issue was somehow "fixed". I don't know how many times this method will work, especially for a small-time operator like myself. But it is certainly worth a try. Be brief, logical and humble.

Solution #2 -
I have read that the mediapartners bot looks at the filename FIRST, for clues. Make sure it contains THE best keyword(s) for the page, and little else.
