Wow, just checked my email to see that adsense has blocked my account for invalid clicks. After all the reading and whatnot on this forum, I've seen that 99% of the sites closed has in fact clicked their own ads/asked their users etc to do so and so on. Well, I haven't done anything like that - I run a 4000+ users forum, so some of those might be responsible for this..I've emailed google back, I will let you all know how it works out!

I have specifically asked Google for IP addresses for their AdSense bots, so that I can let them into my otherwise closed forums. So, they're fully aware I run them, anyway!

I'm interested in the user who said that he doesn't show AdSense for registered users. I like that idea, and will probably implement that - looking at my revenue figures, it seems I'll lose little revenue because of it.

I removed my ads from all login/registration/thank you/whatever pages

How long ago? Maybe they banned you because of this.

It occurs to me someone running multiple sites that generate some serious revenue (thousands per month per site) may want to consider account diversification just to avoid having it all locked up on account of one "dreaed email". Maybe create a separate AdSense account per web site and register one under your spouse, or create a few companies shells and make each individual company "own" the site. That way all your eggs wouldn't be in one AdSense account basket.

Probably not worth the hassle for most people, but anyone with more than one site generating serious coin should think about it.

Sorry, I used the wrong words there, what I meant to say is that I never had the ads on those pages.

If you get the dreaded email even if you did nothing wrong, can you buy a new domain name, give your files a new look, and reapply with Adsense through someone else?

No. Some people try to get around that by having a family member apply in their name, but we've seen reports of banned publishers' relatives being unable to get accounts (presumably because their last names and mailing addresses were giveaways).

I asked Google if I can run adSense on the forum pages of my site and they said "yes"

IMHO that's the whole purpose of the internet: offering dynamic information + connecting with other people. To get "static" info I'd rather go the local library and get a book.
