New payment options are available in my account. Besides std. check payment there's also expedited check ($29 fee) and Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT, marked as BETA). Anyone else seen this?

I've signed up for EFT. :)

Just think of all the postage charges Google will be saving.

I just asked this in another thread, but seeing that ASA is here, did I read it correctly that if something goes wrong with the transfer of funds, we must wait until the next billing cycle to get that payment?

This is a great day but I think I'll wait to see how it's working for everyone else and if the there are any hidden fees before I jump in. :)

I hope Australia can get approved for EFTPOS asap. As awaiting 2 weeks to receive cheques, plus 28 days to clear cheques is a very long time.

don't worry Penfold, I have a feeling Australia will be included in EFT soon. I would think.

It's good now we get the option for express courier payment and local currency, which will cut down dramatically the time of the cheque getting here and the amount of time for the banks to clear it ;)

so it's a good starting point!

Will we get paid via EFT this month on February's earnings?

A test should be run before the February-earnings payment - an advance payment of some small amount before the larger amount is attempted. Maybe not even a payment, but a tiny bonus for signing up for electronic funds transfer. Then we could learn of problems before the real thing.

I asked the same question in this thread. See the answer in messages #28-30 on page 2 [webmasterworld.com] (no we don't).

edit: re-read the answer and we don't get the EFT for Feb.

See the answer in message #29 on page 2 (yes we do).

No, we don't. Starting with March Earnings. Feb Earnings which we will receive at the end of this month will be paid with a normal cheque.

Makes me wonder again what I should do. Checks and wire transfer in local currencies are very nice but since I don't really need the money right now I could also set up a dollar account. If the dollar/euro rate would be a lot higher within a few months then I would earn a lot more. But then again there is the risk that the rate will drop even more..

Is there still a delay of one month for the payouts?

Make up your mind Zygoot: currency broker or Internet publisher? :-)

Strategy is not about what you do. It's about what you don't do.

I am in Egypt so I don't get the EFT :(

I hope that AdSense one day would also support Arabic. A large portion of the world population speaks Arabic and they buy a lot of stuff from the US and other countries and they are best targeted with Arabic ads.

I hope Google listens to this. It would be a real opertunity for all of us Arabs.

Yes, I don't think they changed that part of the TOS.

They still have to do the normal checks and account reviews before they send out (or authorize) payments.

Correct. If an issue does occur with EFT payments, your earnings may roll over to the next payment cycle. I strongly advise those of you who choose EFT to double-check (or even triple-check) that your bank account information is accurate.

ASA -- I recall a few years ago when I signed up for PP and used my bank account they made 2 small deposits.. like 23 cents and 12 cents ..then you had to respond to an email to verify the amounts deposited.

Something like that would help with security and catch any wrong Bank account information submitted before the real deposits start flowing.

Just an Idea

I find it weird there isn't any verification process when I sign up for EFT. All I did was keyed in sort-code and account number (I'm from the UK). And that's it. No pin, no verification, no password. Nothing.

I don't even know if my bank will accept EFT. This is scary. But i'll give my bank a call tomorrow morning to verify it. I'm with Natwest.

I just noticed, when going in to setup EFT, that the 'Check - Secured Express Delivery ($30.00 processing fee) ' was the DEFAULT. So everyone might want to double check that this option is set to 'standard' unless you actually WANT to pay the extra processing fee for express delivery.

Being on the West coast and in the UPS club I definitely want the EFT. Apparently they ship all the West coast UPS checks in a box on the same day as the rest from Florida, BUT TO some place on the West Coast who then turns around, sticks them in an UPS envelope which then goes out the day AFTER everyone else has received theirs by USPS. Plus our UPS service $UCK$ big-time and last month our 'securely sent' check was delivered to the WRONG address and opened!
THANK YOU for EFT!

I'm in Romania. The bank system is working well; i'm so frustrated....
