A client site of mine publishing adsense had a strange happening.....during a routine update, the cliks increased normally but the revenues got reversed by 2 USD. This is the first time , I am seeing such an happening in adsense. What can be the reasons for such adjustment? Can Jenstar or ASA throw some light on the same.
Also , today there has been reporting errors in adsense....imps & cliks increasing but the revenues remain constant..during certain updates.... Is anyone else facing same problem?

What can be the reasons for such adjustment?

Possibly reversed clicks that were fraudulent and refunded back to the customer. Also, if AdSense for Search results in huge search queries but few click throughs, AdSense can deduct a fee for that (but for never more than the amount earned through search). They can also deduct fees if you request a stop payment or need special delivery (ie. UPS delivery if you aren't in the UPS Club) but I haven't heard of anyone charged for this.

imps & cliks increasing but the revenues remain constant

Stats lag is common, stats are not real time, and they don't always update the different stats at the same time. This happens to everyone's account on a regular basis. Occassionally you could see clicks increase without revenues due to invalid clicks, but you are likely just seeing the stats lag. Google says it can take up to 24 hours for the stats to be fully updated, but I usually see it updated shortly after midnight PST.

Thanks Jenstar for that prompt reply. In case it is fraud cliks reversals, should my client notify Google about it or just leave it as a one-off case? Will Google clarify the reason for the reversal?
