Hi,

I've read some threads in this site, and realized that google now allows ads to be run on free hosting server, which used to be forbitted. So i just wonder if google now also allows ads to be run on forum site.

Does anyone know?

They always have allowed this, as long as it otherwise meets the terms & policies.

Something to note is that you can only run them on your forum site if it's not a private (hidden) forum. And you can't run them on any registration or thankyou pages.

No Google ad may be placed on any non-content-based pages. This includes error, login, registration, "thank you" or welcome pages.

I don't think they always allow to run ads on forum site.

Last time I saw some ads on forum sites, and I was just curious to email Google and ask them if they changed their policy to allow ads to run on forum sites, and gave them a few forum web sites that are running adsenses for example. They replied me and told me that adsense are not allowed to run on forum sites. I came back to the sites where I gave google as examples of forum site that running adsense, the ads were no longer there. I think they were asked to take it off.

I think there is a difference between a "forum site" and a "forum" though. My impression would be that a "forum" is part of a larger site, whereas a "forum site" is just the forum.
