Adsense worth creating a site for?

Should I join the profiting masses?

I am thinking about creating a site for the sole purpose of making money with adsense. Could this be a waste of time?

Here are my 3 ideas for a website;

-diet and fitness (30-40 page site)
-internet marketing (15-20 page site)
-canadian travel guide (similar to my www.travelkelowna.com)

Which direction should I go with if I do it?

If adsense is not a good idea...what would be to generate money from one of those content sites through affiliates of PPC?

Thanks for any feedback!

I don't think people round here will welcome your question with open arms, simply because it is against policy to create a site just for Adsense...
Creating a site with adsense in mind however is fine. I think the people at Google would prefer that you actually cared about the sites you created, and not just bung up 40 pages about diet and leave it there to grow stale, however, many people earn money doing this, so if you want to join that club go for it.

To answer a rephrased version of your question: Yes, adsense is a good PPC affiliate program ;)

You best bet is to gauge the relative cost per click for these niches, then decide if you can compete in these niches.

10 dollar per click terms are likely much more competitive than 10 cent per click terms.

You can use Overture's view bids tool and if you have an adwords account, you can guesstimate the click cost as well.

Assume a 30-40% payout of the advertiser cost per click and then decide if it is worth doing.

thanks for the feedback so far...

The sites I am looking at putting together are definitely points of interest for me. I think its important to develop a site that your interested in because it will show in your final product. I am just trying to decide which way to go...

it's interesting that no matter how I bury AS it outperforms the PPC feeds that I designed the sites for... makes me want to put it above the fold in the center.. pulsing... ;)
