Is there anyone (who is located in china and has an english site) in adsense program and get checks from google?

I am currently in the US and going to move back. I don't know if I can change my address with adsense.

Because you are changing countries, they will likely ask you to close one account and reapply with your new address. Another member here was required to do that. They have become much more strict on address changes.

Welcome back to China.

Perform a search on this forum, and you will find quite a few Chinese people.

The only trouble is that it takes 10 - 14 days for the check to arrive and then 40 days to be cleared.

thank you guys for reply. really happy to see you ride adsense in china. One more question: how much does your bank charge for cashing google checks? based on fixed % or fixed amount?

Do you have to pay income tax there?

Probably I will move to SH.

Guess I'd better go for very, very long term when my lease is up next year.

Based on which bank you choose, some have fixed amount, some only fixed %.You have to ask for service consultation.

Do you have to pay income tax there

it only depends on if your server locate on usa or not.

Hope it help.
But it is long time to wait for the check to be cleared.

newbies,

I was responding to irock's suggestion for Google to "lock down the address." If they did that, Adsense publishers would never be able to move their places of business. Should have followed my post with a bit of a wink ;)

I cash my checks in Bank of China,
it charges only 0.1% of the ammount of check and a minimum 30 RMB.

As for income tax, it depends you.

For an income of 4000$, the tax is more than 20%. You have to pay the tax by yoourself every month. But very few people bother to do this, because the cost of not paying the tax is far less than paying it.

Yeah, I mean in China. You can elect to either pay more than 20% tax or zero.

Don't know about HK.

We are talking about your residential country tax, not tax by the USA. you don't need to pay tax to the US. to HK gov? most likely Yes. I know in china the situation is different, although there are laws governing personal incoming tax, they are quite relaxing, most people just ignor it. some people do get caught if the amount is big.

Hi, I'm also based in China. Newcomer of Adsense.

Could anyone pls tell me how the cheque is mailed to your address in China, e.g. by Fedex, normal mail service?

just regular mail (pin xin) in the US, should be the same abroad.

I wonder how do you put your mail address, since in china to receive mail, usually we have to use work address which is long and complicated instead of home address.

My account is individual. So I left a home address. I'm deeply concerned if the cheque will arrive me safely and quickly.

Hello my Tong Bao Men!

Do you need to open a US$ account or just deposit the check into normal RMB account?

And anybody knows if G! will allow adsense on Chinese web sites soon? I do see Chinese ads on English sites quite often.

Thanks!

"Either choose to pay 20% tax or nothing".

That's the funniest thing I've heard all day.

So, my first adsense earning has been approved. I'm eargerly waiting for uncle postman to drop by my house, with my neck stretching out of the window. Mainland China friends, how long does it take for you to receive the check usually?

I'm in Shaoxing, Zhejiang. Let me know where you're based.

Hey guys, I was thinking about moving to China and living off adsense and other advertising income. How much would I need per month to live comfortably in Dongguan City, or other places in China?

$500 can make a decent life in middle town but not in big city such as SH, BJ

$500 for Dongguan City? Or you mean a random town in China?

$500/month for we Chinese can make a very decent living anywhere in China. But I'm not sure if you guys with a western living style will enjoy yourself with this money. In big modern cities like Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, you might be difficulft to control your wallet. Who knows, it depends.

Seems strange that it tooks more than 2 weeks for the mail to arrive at Beijing while less than 10 days to other provinces.

In addition, I can't find out where the check is sent from, it only says 'Mailed From Zip Code 32286' on the postmark.

Zip code "32286" not found, but mine is "32256", it's from Jacksonville FL. I thought it's from NY, a mistake.
