I cash my checks in Bank of China,
it charges only 0.1% of the ammount of check and a minimum 30 RMB.
As for income tax, it depends you.
For an income of 4000$, the tax is more than 20%. You have to pay the tax by yoourself every month. But very few people bother to do this, because the cost of not paying the tax is far less than paying it.
You mean in China? How about HK?
We are talking about your residential country tax, not tax by the USA. you don't need to pay tax to the US. to HK gov? most likely Yes. I know in china the situation is different, although there are laws governing personal incoming tax, they are quite relaxing, most people just ignor it. some people do get caught if the amount is big.
