I am currently in the US and going to move back. I don't know if I can change my address with adsense.
I would rather want Google to just lock down the address altogether...

Perform a search on this forum,and you will find quite a few Chinese people.
The only trouble is that it takes 10 - 14 days for the check to arrive and then 40 days to be cleared.
Do you have to pay income tax there?

I was responding to irock's suggestion for Google to "lock down the address." If they did that, Adsense publishers would never be able to move their places of business. Should have followed my post with a bit of a wink ;)

I cash my checks in Bank of China,
it charges only 0.1% of the ammount of check and a minimum 30 RMB.
As for income tax, it depends you.
For an income of 4000$, the tax is more than 20%. You have to pay the tax by yoourself every month. But very few people bother to do this, because the cost of not paying the tax is far less than paying it.

We are talking about your residential country tax, not tax by the USA. you don't need to pay tax to the US. to HK gov? most likely Yes. I know in china the situation is different, although there are laws governing personal incoming tax, they are quite relaxing, most people just ignor it. some people do get caught if the amount is big.
Could anyone pls tell me how the cheque is mailed to your address in China, e.g. by Fedex, normal mail service?
I wonder how do you put your mail address, since in china to receive mail, usually we have to use work address which is long and complicated instead of home address.
Do you need to open a US$ account or just deposit the check into normal RMB account?
And anybody knows if G! will allow adsense on Chinese web sites soon? I do see Chinese ads on English sites quite often.

In addition, I can't find out where the check is sent from, it only says 'Mailed From Zip Code 32286' on the postmark.
