Hi all,

I just came across this forum and thought I should let you all know that my Adsense account was disabled a few months ago after I signed up with a couple of autosurf programs.

I never knew using autosurf programs was disallowed. I got the standard mail saying I was generating hits to my website using a robot or some automation techinique! What if one used Manual surfing? Would that give the same impression?

Well, I have shifted to Marketbanker since then. If an of you guys run your website on autosurf I suggest you stop it before your accont is disabled.

Have a nice day

What is autosurf?

Theft or fraud. Take your pick.

Does it actually involve clicking on adverts then? I got the impression it was kinda just buying some traffic.

What's the point of an autosurf program? To generate hits on CPM banner ads?

AFAIK, autosurf programs send you traffic for cash. However, 99.99% of this traffic will be robots, ripping off the newbie. A great business if you're the kind that also enjoys beating up grandmothers on their way back from their pensions.

Of course, they can also be used to generate clickthroughs - in theory, $20 gets you 10.000 clicks. In reality, you get banned, and people laugh at you :)

Google "autosurf" for more info.

P.S.: You may have noticed that I don't like these people. One step away from out & out fraud IMO.

It is against the terms to have automated impressions (not just clicks) so it is clearly against the terms to utilize any autosurf programs, even if a single ad is not clicked on.

I did the search and still don't get it? Where is the incentive? Seems like a bogus link randomizer system. Am I close?

Hi all,

Autosurf programs basically use scripts that serve as a kind of automated traffic exchange system. When you sign up with a program, you view others sites and they view yours. The sites keep changing and the window reloads every 20 seconds or so. The problem is unique visitors are only around 60%. They hardly get you any sales and I am still kicking myself for being stupid.
