Around this time, a year back Google Adsense was started.

I was new to websites. I thought, the oppurtunity to make money with amazon was the best thing that could happen to my newly launched site. I was wrong. By a big margin.

It will not be wrong to say that Google has changed my life since then. There has been a lots of ups and downs in the past year. April was hard for me as well.

But in the end, all I have to say is a single word, Thanks.

I for one think this Google religion is getting a bit out of hand.

Don't worry, all that it would take for everyone that is praising Google in this thread to have their EPC drop by 30% and you will see the praises disappear ;)

Precisely this is all about business.

But as I said in my thread there is no way that we could have such targetted ads related to certain content on our site that only has a shelf life of perhaps a couple of days without it.

It makes money it makes sense.

>It makes money it makes sense.

Well put.

My idea was that I might be a tad too much to give adsense credit for a complete change of life as we know it ;)

I don't see AdSense as easy money but it has given me some nice spending money for the many hours I put in each week on my content site.

I do appreciate the fact that they offer text ads that fit my topic so well. The fact we can adjust color and shape of the ad makes it possible to have a well designed site that includes the ads in a non intrusive way.

There are hundreds of threads that complain about Google, this thread was started just to give a little praise in a sea of negitivity.

No religon, no ass kissing, no moments of clarity.

Just a simple thank you!

I take all the points made for an against. My website is a support group (not for profit) site, previously paid for out of my beer money fund. All other ad programs I've tried don't work for my site, but G income paid for the webhosting, a "National trust" family card for a year, a summer house and a seasons beach parking ticket in the town where I live.

*IF* my income drops by 30% then as I only intended it to offset the web hosting, I'll be no worse off. If the site was commercial then I'd probably be hacked off.

I have to say something.

All I have to say is a single word, Thanks.
Thanks Google for ...
... creating a huge opportunity for me.
... changing my life.
... a wonderfull freedom
... allowing me to make money while I am sleeping.
... creating/sharing this wealth with us.
... making me stay a white hat.
... offering this wonderful AdSense service.
... changing my (web)life dramatically for the better.
... making someone to believe that I am a drug dealer as I live very well.
... getting me closer to the F355
... all of the fellow adsensers here.

You've said all. Better not to add anything.

Rumbas -

"With all these people putting their lifes in Googles hands - why not go all the way and put Google in your will?"

Better wake up and smell what you are shoveling.

No matter what you rely on someone else's hands. Whether it is customer, supplier, manufacturer, and so on. What is the difference? We have this opportunity and we are making the most of it and we are THANKFUL to be able to grow and expand our businesses and our financial lives.

Yes, thanks adsense. I concentrate 100% on content now. The financial side of the website is taken care of.

Thanks for TURNING me white hat.
Made more with adsense than I did with adult nonsense. Heh.

Excellent thread - it's all too easy to only post when we want to moan about something:

Thank you Google - Adsense is great benefit to our site, and to the web as a whole.

Thank you Google for help me monetizing traffic that was going to be a loss leader. Google, AWA, Jenstar and everyone else has worked hard this year and created a great environment.

As my vote of thanks I'll continue to let Google take a healthy cut of my profits for managing the adword marketplace.

I can only make one comment:

"Wah, why wasn't this around back in 1998? Sob"

Thanks Google. Been a brilliant year.
