What one site gets for a CTR is pretty much irrelevant when compared to other sites.

All that matters is what your site does. If your CTR is enough to make you happy, fine. If it isn't, then rework your ads or site to try and pump it up, or drop the program.

My site is doing fine as far as I'm concerned, thanks for asking. That doesn't mean it couldn't do better. That's why I keep trying various things.

The fact that I can't get my CTR over .6% leads me to believe I'm a terrible horrible webmaster, but I sware I've tried everything D:

Maybe your content is so compelling your visitors don't want to click away? That can happen...

I have a clickthru rate average of 6, which sometimes goes up to 10.

Just means that the content is great but narrow and limited to one page, and once they have finished reading, they find that the best way to navigate out of the site is to click on adsense!

10 % cant think of that much in my wildest dreams. I get a max of 1.5 %. It has never even touched 2 %.

click-through-rate depends on a number of factors:

1. the placement of the ads - ads placed higher up on the page (more visible) will perform better

2. ad relevance - make sure that the ads are related to your content as closely as possible.

Some topics just have better matches to GoogleAds than others. My major topic gets great click through rates but there are plenty of related ads for for the product and for materials to make the product. I've pretty much given up on other topics on my sites. The click through rate is terrible.

Try searching in Google using words and phrases related to your topic. If there are few ads or none on the search result pages there won't be much of any to go on your site either.

Right around 3% to sometimes 4.1% or so. This is with 4,000 to 8,000 impressions daily.

Thanks guys that was good to get some feedback.

I agree much of the success is all about placement.

Seeing the same thing here...

Quite shocking when you see thousands of impressions and only two clicks...Glad to hear others are seeing this.

The rate for the day was pretty low. Was everyone's numbers and CPM low?

As I intend the content of my site to be, for many people, the terminal page - that is, I try to answer the questions that bring them to the page - I don't expect some of the click-through rates described above; but I nonetheless get a much higher click-through rate than I expected.
