Multiple ad units

Been seeing two or more on some pages

Are we allowed to have multiple ad units yet? I've noticed several on a few websites. I know that the TOS says that we're allowed more than one unit, but the same ad cannot be shown so that kind of cancels it out.

Has that been changed recently, or are these websites breaking the TOS that I've seen?

Nope.

Yup.

That seems to be an issue between Google and the website operator, though. As an advertiser, I don't care. I'm happy for the additional exposure, bring it on. As a publisher, I still don't care, it doesn't affect my bottom line.

One competitor of mine is running four sets of ads on their home page. Not my business but the funny thing is, they themselves run Adwords campaigns, and...........their own ad is showing up 4 times on their home page. Wonder how many clickthroughs they get and how the visitors feel about just ending up on the same page.
