Google finally starts to adopt image ads. Do you think that will improve publishers' CTR and renenue?

Anyone seen an image ad yet? I'm still waiting - expecting some in the travel sector.

That's pretty much to be expected at this point. The image ads that we'll see initially will come from the existing pool of AdWords/AdSense advertisers.

It'll be a while before we see image ads from the big mainstream advertisers, because advertising agencies and their clients don't move at the same speed as Web entrepreneurs.

I wonder how many Google sales reps are pitching AdWords/AdSense ads (including "image ads") to ad agencies and major advertisers? It would be interesting to see their PowerPoint presentation--or do they use a Linux PowerPoint knockoff on their laptops? :-)

I just saw an image ad, took a bit of time to load. It's 30kb in a 120x600 tower. The file size seems large to me for that format.

First one I've seen anywhere... that's all.
