Site approved for Adsense but only root indexed in Google

Is Adsense googlebot the same as the SERPS powering googlebot?

Hi All,

My new site was reviewed and accepted by Adsense around a month ago. However only the root page of my site is indexed by Google. Any ideas why this is? My HTML seems to be valid. And users are browsing the site ok.

I would have thought that the googlebot that scans my pages to determine which adverts to display would also add those pages to the Google search engine but this does not appear to be happening.

thanks,

Nick

Two different bots - neither coordinates with the other. Googlebot will get to your other pages eventually as long as you have links to the pages. Takes time.

Thanks dazzlindonna,

Is there any way to tell which Googlebot is indexing your site? i.e. the Adsense bot or the rankings bot

yes there is.

Check your logs and look for

6783 hits : Mediapartners-Google/2.1 (+http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html)

that is the adsense bot.

This one:

1454 hits : Googlebot/2.1 (+http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html)

is the google bot from google.com
