Mistargeted Ads

EFV recently mentioned in the big thread about reporting mistargeted ads to Adsense team.

I also notice them as well. The funny thing is, I have noticed them off and on since I started the program in July. And whenever I get them, I see CTR and revenue drop. This usually lasts from a few days to a couple of weeks

And then out of the blue, I start getting better targeted ads, and sure enough CTR and revenue increase. So I believe sometime around mid-April Adsense will start sending better targeted ads my way.

....You wouldn't happen to live in the Southwest, do you?

The answer to the above is yes, but the site is a PA website. How did you know I lived in the SW and why would that make a difference?

Regarding flip-flopping quality, something I did not see much in the past but a lot starting about April 2.

All day long on different sites there are well targeted ads but if I refresh the screen or come back a short time later they are gone and replaced by poor ads having little to do with the webpage?

Why in the world does G do that anyway?

We've got quite odd flip-flopping starting around April 3/4 which has coincided with a dramatic change in our daily revenue variations. Were between $3x and £5x, but now between $1x and about $9x. Yet to see if the average ends up higher or lower!

Making it a bit tricky to assess any changes we make.

Is flip-flopping going to be a new term? ;-)
