Right now I have ads (including pops) on most pages of my site except the front page, which I keep pretty clean ad-wise as it gets cluttered enough. :) Most users of my site have accepted the fact that the pops are their "payment" for using the site, and many have joined our paid member program mostly just to get rid of the ads (paid members see the whole site ad free).
Anyhow, I applied to Adsense, thinking I'd put a skyscraper on the front page and the 468 on the top of our message boards, with more expansion if things went well. However, my application was denied into Adsense because "Difficult Navigation....excessive pop-ups". While I see their point about the pops, I won't be putting the Adsense ads on any pages with pops, so that shouldn't matter. I wrote back a few days to tell them that, but I haven't heard anything again.
My questions:
- How long should I wait for a reply from them? Should I reply to the denial e-mail again? Apply again?
- I have another site that would likely be accepted, although it doesn't get a fraction of the traffic of my main site. If I were accepted there, it's my understanding that you can put the ads on any of your other sites as long as they don't violate the terms. I don't believe that I'd be violating the terms with my main site (no pops with the G ads...), so could I put them there? Or is that just asking for trouble since right now that site is "denied"?
I'm very anxious to try these ads out, as I can give them a bunch of pageviews to start (25,000 a day?), and I would hope to change over other pages from pops to G if things go well, moving up to around 100,000-150,000 pv's a day.
So, what should I do?
