So far today my CTR is half what it normally is.

The fact that it seems to be happening to everyone is actually somewhat reassuring to me (not that I wish anxiety on the rest of you, but... it makes it a lot more likely that it's a glitch on Google's end that will eventually be caught up..)

Ok, now this is weird. About an hour and a half ago, I first checked my stats and reported the 40% lower CTR, eCPM and earnings. I just checked again to see if anything has updated and this is what I have:

Impressions: about a hundred MORE than an hour and a half ago
Clicks: 10 LESS than an hour and a half ago
eCPM: even lower than an hour and a half ago
CTR: lower also
Earnings: EXACTLY THE SAME AS AN HOUR AND A HALF AGO.

I've never seen anything like that. Hopefully for all of us this means that something is going on and they are fixing it now.

Again, I get "Sorry, service is currently not available. Please try again later." I got this earlier, then was able to log in to see that I had 0 clicks, now got it again.

Something is definitely lagging today. Hopefully tonight the click dump will hit and there'll be a huge collective sigh of relief on this thread!

I think new update may be coming up. Hopefully this is in favor of the publishers. May be to soften the effects of Smart Pricing.

Our CTR is ALWAYS very consistent and so far today is almost exactly half, which leads me to believe they are simply behind in updating click thrus and possibly a little behind on impressions as well. With what WolfLover said, I'm starting to wonder if G had a major, accross the board, fraud click attack and they're refiltering all the clickthrus to remove the invalid ones. Wolf, are you sure you weren't just comparing the default daily report vs a detail or custom report results? Many times they are off by half an hour's results.

I should know to look here first before I take any time to do an analysis of what happened. I was just checking my rankings and types of ads and everything seemed fine so I realized it must be the stats that were off. It would be great if the Adsense staff could could put some announcement on the reports page when the stats are delayed.

The weird thing is that the impressions are piling up as usual, and also I'm getting a little bit of update on CPM ads, a few cents here and there on site targeting. But no new clicks for over six hours now, no referral clicks or conversions, and on my worst day that doesn't happen.

I'm noticing the same percentages down on ctr and eCPM.

Looking at the sites, the ads are much more nichey. They are not about the main page topic but about much smaller subjects briefly mentioned on the page. Subjects that are worthy of one tab in an adlinks block are dominating the ads. Definitely different ad presentation than normal, maybe that's something to do with it.

Impressions: 100% for this time of day
eCPM: 40 - 50%
CTR: 60% of the normal average
Earnings: half

the reassuring thing is, G is also seeing less earnings today :)

Wolf, are you sure you weren't just comparing the default daily report vs a detail or custom report results? Many times they are off by half an hour's results.

mikenolastname, for both times I was looking at the OVERVIEW only. I did not look at the advanced stats or anything else.

Now checking again, I've had the following:

Page impressions: 150 more than last report
CTR: down
Clicks: 1 more than last report but still 9 less than when I first checked 2 1/2 hours ago
eCPM: is way down
Earnings: up a whole 52 cents

I reported earlier that after my first stats check that I would change my title color. For whatever unknown and strange reason, if I have a low eCPM I always change my title color (put in a new channel with title color name so I can track results) and it always raises the eCPM.

I did this 2 1/2 hours ago and this channel is not even showing any page impressions. Please note that this channel is on ALL pages of my site (about 700 plus pages). Even though I am showing now about 160 more impressions than 2 1/2 hours ago, NO impressions are showing for the new channel. This is not possible.

There has definitely got to be a glitch here and hopefully will be corrected soon. Just not sure though why even if the stats are stuck or slow or whatever, why is my eCPM now less than half what it was yesterday and the day before?

Since everyone else here (including me) is seeing impressions piling and earnings around 1/2, and no one reported normal stats, I am with the opinion that it is one of 2 things:

a)some sort of clicks rechecking process going on, for hundreds of thousands of publishers, and God knows how many clicks piling, this could take a while.

b)a billing system update (less likely), which would take shorter and produce an early click dump, but expect a testing and rechecking delay before it goes live.

Whatever it is let's hope it is over soon.

Remember when we had to wait two days to see what our numbers were? Go out, let the sun warm your blood, have an ice cream cone and all may be well tomorrow. Or not.....

Sorry Hobbs, if I come off as tense. LOL I know I'm not alone in this boat, just figured I'd ask ASA to reply and let us know what he/she knows.

Nothing to be sorry about WolfLover.

I agree with you Google should be more open in many aspects and trust its publishers and advertisers to understand when something is wrong or when there is an interruption in service.

I vote for having a cold one, anyone else?
