There has been much negative energy in the forum for the past few months. I have seen many threads about falling earnings, made for adsense sites, bad quality advertisers, (fear of) being banned, etcetera. And now there is the Little Devil (algo) update and we don't know what that will bring upon us.

Although all these problems are real, and should be discussed in order to deal with them, we also need good news to inspire us. Therefore I ask you folks to bring in some good stuff to inspire the rest of us. Did your earnings climb for the past few months? Did you start a new website that generates good cash? Did you use your Adsense money to buy something great lately? Were you able to help out someone else with your Adsense money? Please bring in the good news!

My good news is that my earnings have recovered after a complete downfall starting in january. After the Christmas season, nobody was interested in my winter widgets anymore. To anticipate on the seasons I started building a site about summer widgets in february. After going online in may my earnings went up again!

I am now working on 2 new websites:

- one about blue widgets that are very popular among the filthy rich;

- the other about how to make these blue widgets yourself when you are on a low budget.

The idea is to make two entirely different websites, targeting 2 different audiences, while writing about the same blue widgets.
Since I love these blue widgets myself it is so much fun to write about them, take pictures of them and interview people about them...

Even if this idea inspired you for one second you made my day;-)

Good news.
My AdSense has popped up with 100% since last months income, yet it's summer also.

Another good thing is that they seem to warn people and help them out then just shutting the account down (got a mail with info about blocking ads from a domain).

Good news:

The way things have been going the last couple of months shows me that in a month, maybe two, google adsense will pay my student loan every month. This is why I started with adsense!

It feels like a lot of weight has been removed from my shoulders!

Nice topic Humble!
I agree with Mr. Hobbs - replace the PIP every month with this thread. Please!

Thanks HB for this thread

Nice topic Humble!

How about turning the PIP threads into "PIP what are you spending it on?"

Hobbs, IWMI and the others,

Believe me, you have made my day by responding in this very positive way. It inspires and motivates people to continue living this weird Adsense life.

And the idea to enhance the usual PIP thread into a PIP-and-spend thread is very good Hobbs.
It will remind us every month of the blessings of what we do...

As some of you, I too started AdSense with hopes of just paying for hosting expenses... now, AdSense is a very nice bonus i earn at the end of every month, about 1/5th of my work salary.

I just released a new site, and I'm already working on another one. Both have been in the works for more than 6 months, this current one I've been working on for 3 months. Just got a letter from AdSense than the domain is clear and i can display AdSense on it.

overall, June vs. may is going to be about 10% more. In the past week or so, my ecpm has increased ... a good sign AdSense gods are once again smiling on me. if this keeps up, I may have a 4-digit month sooner than i thought.

More good news. I did a careful check for MFAs and other shady ads on my site today and did not find any!

I'm hoping that this means Google is making progress. I know there was talk about Google checking AdWords landing pages. Maybe that is helping weed out inappropriate ads.

My earnings are up 100% over last year.

I work when I feel like it.

I spent a few weeks at Disney World Recently.

I now have the time to coach my daughter's baseball team.

My wife now drives a new Mini Van and I drive a new truck.

All of my debt is getting paid off.

Adsense Is Still Great!

We should think about our dreams.
Some of them become outdated by new technology.
Ferrari is a dream of the past.

and what's wrong with dreams of the past jetteroheller?

It's sad if one dies with unfulfilled childhood dreams.

Plus Ferrari is a timeless work of art, you save gas and the environment, I drive past you smoking a cigar!

Somethings are just worth killing baby seals for! Ok not this drastic, but let them dreams be fulfilled.

you parents smartpriced your childhood?

Ahhh...but daddy did have a Daimler SP250...Dart to others...and I do have an original BMW 635 csi and a Lancia Integrale sitting in my garage:-))

I like the look of the new Morgan concept car though...a couple of month's AdSense should pay for that!

I have something very positive to say, too:

Last week I saw my first day above $35 and since then this mark has been reached 3 times. I'm very happy with how things are going and growing. I also started reinvesting my few hundred bucks per month back into my website. Feels great, I'm almost like a small company already. :)

Also, the summer + worldcup didn't hit me as hard as I thought they would.

Pal of mine has one, nice, Noble is quirky good and the Koenigsegg CCX sounds incredible.

However I'll raise you the Bugatti Veyron which just has to be the most amazing automobile created and there's a two year waiting list...yes, I enquired:-)

Well I suppose this is good news. The earnings on my forum are up 60-70% over the last 2 months. I just broke the $20 (cumulative) mark this morning after three months.

I'm getting ready to launch a full magazine style site to go along with the forum, so hopefully I'll see even more growth then.

Good choice OptiRex,
And I won't talk about the Ultima GTR, my old bones can't take the 0-60mph in 2.6 seconds, I would buy one for my wife though ;-)

I put adsense on one of my sites about 2 years ago and basically forgot about it. It's a very specialized theatre history topic with very few, if any, relevant ads. Predictibly, I was generating between $2 - $5 per month. In May, I decided to put together a 20 page site on a more popular topic. The site went live on May 13th and earned $121 for the month! Google sent the payment today. Good news, indeed.

The moral of this story is: Better late than never.

Just tell me it is 27th June?

You do mean you got your PIP today or did you receive your EFT?

Yesterday it said PIP, today it says "Payment..." but the money hasn't hit my bank account yet. I'm with a small credit union and things often take an extra day or two. :/

More good news: Today, my site exceeded 100 clicks for the first time! Yay!

And some things are better left unsaid. That remark is offensive, and unnecessary.

That remark is offensive, and unnecessary

Eazygoin,
I will decide what is necessary in my remarks thank you,
as for being offensive, there are mods here for that, but I think unlike you they understood that it was in a humor context and was actually contrary to advocating violence.
Easygoin, sorry you didn't get the joke, but you should not take it out of context, take it easy.

Ferrari is a dream of the past.

Three cheers for dreams of the past!

Just got news about a new super sports car

Audi R-Zéro

Under 3 seconds from 0 to 100km/h
450 km/h top speed

1000km range at 130km/h

That clearly outperforms a Ferrari in acceleration, top speed and range.

And it's all electric.

What sound does it make jetteroheller?

Imagine the poor pedestrians you will run over at 450 km/h without them knowing what hit them!

Also check the Ultima GTR, 2.6 seconds.

added:
I am not advocating running over pedestrians!

I got my EFT in the bank this morning!

My Adsense earnings are up modestly (about 10% over last year).
