I've found on my forum, which gets about 5000 unique visitors monthly, that placing the adsense code below the header on index, viewpost and viewforum pages results in many more clicks than just putting it after the first post. Maybe this is just a result of the much lower impression count when displayed only after the first post. I just decided to put the code back into the viewforum and index pages, hopefully the clicks will start coming again.

The ads on the index and viewforum pages seem to be much more relevant than the after first posts as well. Anyone else care to share their experiences?

I have them after the first post AND directly under the title link of every post in viewtopic.
However- only unregistered and logged-out guests can see the one below the post title.

So if you are visiting and can't take the time to register, I'm getting filthy with ads in your face.

Same goes for right above the main forum block on index.php.
A nice big 728x90 with a registration button to remove the ads.

This is done with the simple addition of user_logged_in and out switches.
