if i just use the normal and very slow cheque sending method from adsense will it cost any money?

Google don't deduct any amount from the check for the regular check delivery. But if the check is not in your local currency, bank normally deduct some amount if you deposit it to a local currency account.

depending where in the world you are, EFT will be much easier if its available to you.

I've got a feeling they used to charge a small fee when you joined the UPS club (over $10K/month), but since it's gone EFT that doesn't apply - those were nice to hold however. :)

If you're in the US you also don't have to worry about exchange rates which hit much harder.
