I'm planning to buy a new mobile phone this weekend, and I want to be able to use it for checking my AdSense stats. What features doses the phone need for this?

Moderators, sorry if this is a little off-topic, but I'm sure it will be helpful to meny members in the AdSense forum.

The main feature required is a notebook.

Even several year old mobile phones support GPRS via INDRA.

I am not sure you can log into your adsense account from a mobile because of the way the login works on the adsense page, unless you have a phone with a decent browser.

I know the latest Sony Ericssons can't.

I was thinking of trying to make an app to download the stats because of this.

Maybe it would work on a phone with Windows Mobile, like the Qtek 8310?

I tried it the other day on my new windows mobile 5 MDA - there wasn't any login form on the page.

Whats even more annoying is that the reports that get emailed to me daily won't open because excel on the phone won't open .csv files - ugh - when will computers just work?!

Actually - it does do javascript, but I think Google uses and iframe or something for the login pane, which it may not support.

You can buy any mobile phone that supports Java and install Opera Mini browser (it's free). This will also allow you to access your Gmail account. It works like a charm on my two years old Sony Ericsson T630.
