Hello All,

I have a non-English (Serbo-Croatian) site with ~150 articles on a variety of health topics. I get ~6K unique visitors per week (~80% via Google SERPS). My CTR is ~0.3% (around 3 clicks /day) and I barely get $0.10 per click.

I also have a separate site with English content covering the same topic but with the identical layout and my CTR there is ~6%. This leads me to believe that the layout is probably not the culprit.

In my opinion, the root cause of the problem lies in the fact that, most of time, Google does not display ads on my pages – users see the infamous gray non-profit banners.

Any suggestion on how to increase the revenue would be greatly appreciated.

Best,

Sandro

Is the language in the first site one supported by Adsense?

Google AdSense supports publishers in several different languages. Applications for participation in the program can be for sites with content primarily in:

Chinese (simplified) Japanese
Danish Korean
Dutch Norwegian
English Polish
Finnish Portuguese
French Russian
German Spanish
Hungarian Swedish
Italian Turkish

In addition, AdSense for search is available in Croatian, Czech, Hebrew, Slovak, and Traditional Chinese. These languages are not supported for AdSense for content pages.

You can select your site's primary language during the application process. If you're approved, AdSense will serve relevant ads to your pages in the appropriate language, even if your site contains multiple supported languages.

Please also be aware that placing the AdSense code on pages with content primarily in an unsupported language is not permitted by the AdSense program policies.

>AdSense for search is available in Croatian

To further clarify: The site at issue is actualy the site that I used when I applied for AdSense. Google approved it, so I assume it's TOS compliant.

In addition, ~10 of hits will actualy get an paid ad displayed and the ads are in Croatian.
