Hello every one....
i saw much sites adding the ads under images exactly,
and ads shows as Sponsored Links,,,not ads by google.
so i wanted to be more sure from you.
is it allow to add the ads under images exactly and to make it Sponsored Links?
not ads by google
if Sponsored Links, then we need to change the code of ggle ads from as to sln2
so...if we click on the ads it will open also in new windows as i saw it in my sites
what do you think?

It's absolutely not allowed. Try it and your chances of getting banned are quite good.

What exactly is meant by "ads under images exactly"? I'm wondering now if I should check my site to see if I've done that somewhere, accidentally.

Come to think of it, a lot of my ads are in the sidebar under my navigation graphics. Is that the kind of thing you're talking about, or are you referring to something else?

Initially I thought he was talking images floating in front of the ads (visually obstructing them), for example, by using CSS. This is definitely not allowed. But after I read his message I'm not sure what he means.

Accordinly to the TOS you can label above an ad block as "sponsored links" or "advertisements"

But you can't change the google script to do it if that is what you mean.

- rule of thumb: images alongside ads are allowed, as long as the images don't point to the ads (e.g. an arrow or text in an image)

- there is no possibility to change the link "ads by google" as long as you are not a premium publisher. you are not allowed to alter the adsense code.

- placing the label "sponsored links" in relation to google ads is allowed. also allowed is the word "advertisements". nothing else.

- if you are unsure if something is legitimate, as ever drop an e-mail to adsense support.

ok, we could make a nice ongoing quiz game out of this. someone places a link to an example case and the others discuss the question of the day "is this allowed (yes/no)? and why (not)?" let's not get it this far, please..

in this case, i'd say: not allowed. "back" and "next" too close to the ad, suggesting one should click to the next ad. and above all, where's the content?

please note, no member can definitely tell if something like that is legitimate. at the end, it's up to google.

by the way, such practices are most probably not worth it thanks to smart pricing.

since you ads have borders it's allowed! it would also be allowed if your ads had no borders in this case.

what isn't allowed (even if your ads are bordered) to place image or text pointing to your ads advising people to click them or driving unvanted click to your page.

I.E. a gif animation of homer jumping above ads pointing your ads isn't allowed, same as text stating "visit my sponsors" isn't allowed..

my advise is everytime you do a ads repositioning to mail google your link and they will check it and answer in day or so.. at least it's what I do just to be sure... (not mailing them too often, though...)

I have another one about the link unit blending. I noticed this in a blog sidebar:

[180 width, 100 height gif image]
[180 width vertical link unit]
[web site navigation]

gif image and link unit stick together and link unit header background has the same color as the gif image background.

The result is "Ads by Google" has the same background as the image above the link unit. And it looks like "Ads by Google" refers to the Gif Image above the links of the link unit.

User can mix Links in a link unit with navigation.

Is this blending or what? ;)

The same thing is with horizontal link unit. Many people put it bellow their horizontal navigation just to make users think it is a part of navigation. Is that allowed.

Seleno - I can barely understand anything you're saying. Just email Adsense Support and ask them. We can tell you anything you want to hear, but we don't run the show or write the checks.
