Since its a forum they're mostly the same bunch of users and most of them have dynamic ip. From what I see adsense is giving me the same bunch of ads (around a dozen I've seen).
The forum is members-only, so the bot couldn't crawl my site. I'm not sure how to get it to crawl my site. The forum currently have a leaderboard on the top and nothing else.
The forum is sitting in 2 servers so I had 3 subdomain names (bbs pointing to both, round-robin, bbs1 pointing to server1, and bbs2 pointing to server2). I only applied to adsense for bbs domain name (I don't see any option for multiple domain names?) but not bbs1 and bbs2 (about 1k impression each per day on bbs1,2)
And further more a friend of mine in china wanted to add adsense to his site(about half the level of users) but he doesn't have access to USD account (neither accepting USD). Can I put my adsense script in his site (and adding a seperate channel for him), what else do I need to do? Does that mean its against TOS or something?
My forum is hobby-orientiated so I'd prefer not to anger my forum users too much with excessive ads/ad links. What are my options?
I know its quite a lot of questions in the same post and sorry about that.
Thanks
Arthur
Anyway you've put your finger on a couple of major problems:
1. Same group of visitors seeing pretty much the same ads from now until the end of time. That's a sure formula for declining earnings.
2. Google's bot can't spider your site. I'm not even sure this is consistent with the TOS.
I didn't state eCPM's actual value (although I think you could figure it out. since no one is posting it anywhere I assume it might be against tos to post it?)
Anyway see points #1 and #2 above. #1 you can't do much about; #2 you can and should. I'd also wait a few weeks in order to see how things settle out, as Google fine-tunes the ads it shows and your users become accustomed to them.
P.S. I wouldn't allow a friend to earn money via my AdSense account if my life depended on it. Spend some time reading past threads about people who've been kicked out of ASense forever for violating the terms of the agreement in various ways, and you'll see why.
