Will google allow 2 adsense accounts under same ip?

I have an adsense account but what if my roommate wanted to open one, can he do it? He will be loggin in to his account under the same IP as me. Mine is under a diff address then where i live now. Is it safe to do that or is google just gonna ban us.

What are you still doing living with a roommate? Didn't you quit your job to live on your AdSense income?

I wouldn't risk it. It looks suspicious.

Your roommate can open account, just make sure he doesn't check his stats from home. I agree with Key_Master, this could look suspicious and why risk it.

I would be popping an email off to the Adsense team explaining the situation and making it clear there is no other connection between the accounts other than the IP which is purely due to physical location.

You can't stop your roommate from opening an account, but you can pre-empt any future challenges my ensuring the Adsense team are informed of the circumstances.

i asked G about it... ur room mate can sign up from the same IP and even the same address and he can also use ur adsense referral button

Yeah I wouldn't worry about this at all. My wife and I have separate accounts and we use the same IP. We've been doing this for years now without any problems.

I agree with last post.

I own 2 different companies with different websites and have 2 Adsense accounts I use and check daily those accounts from the same IP for years. Never had a problem.

Better way is to contact adsense team and explain the situation to avoid future confusions. :)

I think everyone is missing the point with this post.

Yes, you can have two adsense accounts on the same IP. Google will tell you so if you email them.

What they WON'T tell you is that you're taking a REALLY big chance that if one of the accounts is banned, the other could be banned too, even if you informed Google of the situation in advance.
