My niche travel guide site usually gets one or two clicks per day off of 300 or so page impressions. The revenue from those clicks has been down 50-70% all month on the same traffic level as I would usually see. Suddenly, over the last two days, I've had over 50 clicks show up putting my revenue at nearly double normal for this time of month.
Either AdSense just passed a major kidney stone or I should be expecting a nasty e-mail from Google any time now.
I can't complain, either: EPC for April is running more than 29% ahead of March. (CTR is down a bit, though, so eCPM is up only 21.3%.)
I know that impressions and clicks are sometimes stored up and dumped at various times through the day, but I've never noticed revenue doing that.
In other words, when clicks are dumped, usually click-revenue keeps pace.
Does Google ever do revenue dumps independently of impressions/clicks?
