Other Ads and Amazon Search legal?

I've just made my first 50c (!) in half a day, so now I'm all excited... but I'm not sure on a couple of legality points and can't find reference to either here or at Google...

1. I'm running 'Adsense for content' but not 'Adsense for search'. Is it OK to also have an Amazon search box and/or an Amazon 'Buy Now' link on the same page?

2. Is it OK to also have ads that I've negotiated directly with advertisers - ie ads for companies with whom I have a direct relationship and which I place directly on my site.

Apologies if this is a tedious newbie enquiry, and many thanks in advance.

Thanks for the quick reply... I'm still not toally clear though...

Are they saying that I can't have any other ads at all, or only 'other content-targeted ads', or ads that 'mimic Google ads or otherwise appear to be associated with Google'...?

As for the second question, the thread you give says 'other internet search services' are not allowed... Does an Amazon 'Search Amazon for this product' device count? What about a 'buy this item now at Amazon' link?

From what I understand, you can have other ads, but not contextually-targeted ads [ i.e. ads that relate to the content of your page, and lead to random advertisers ]

Regarding search box, again i understand that you can have an alternative search box, AS LONG as there is NOT a Google search box on the same website.

In reading their policies, it seems that the main issue they have is not having other "contextual ads." I am interested in putting direct links to an amazon item like you want to do, but I can't see anything that prevents that. They make no reference to that type of click-through, and since it's a direct link that you decided to put there, I don't think it would qualify as "contextual" in the way that google ads work.

But I'd appreciate more insight into this as well...
