I see a lot of sites using superbanners on the top. Do you think they work? I guess that when a visitor come to your site, he wants to read it. So he rolls down to read the article and didn't take a look at the ads. What do you think?

I went from a 3.5 ctr to 9.5 and more than doubled my earnings. I call agressive ad placement.

What is a "superbanner"?

i dont see that word on the Adsense ad-format page.. do you mean Leaderboard, or something else?

728x90px = leaderboard (google phrase) = superbanner (marketing phrase)

i assume superbanners on the very top don't work out sufficiently on most pages.
right in the visitors' face (in my case below the logo and near the content/navigation) leaving a bit scrolling margin works better.

leaderboard (google phrase)

It isn't a Google phrase--it's a standard advertising term (and an official IAB ad unit).
