Should I say goodbye to my account?
Google is obviously aware of this and must take this into account. Also, many people log in and administer their adsense accounts from their workplace. Most workplaces proxy all outbound IP traffic through one IP address. Somehow google must be able to detect this. I'm sure there are companies with 10000+ employees where several people use adsense. Google must know that they are different people but both hitting the Internet through the same channel.
The last time I used AOL, IP addresses were set to expire in one hour. That means I could potentially change IP address while I was online. Obviously when I hung up the next guy could get the same address. Again, Google knows the block of addresses AOL owns and adjusts accordingly.
Personaly if your a large publisher you would be using a static ip address and if your a dynamic publisher google don't care and you have the chance of being banned forever at someone elses avail.
:) Seriously concider this, if the above is true then google would be screwed on dyanmic ip's and therefor we can only come to one conclusion Google don't log your ip address because that would be useless information that always changes, and hence why people get away with 2 accounts..
But like I answered the HTTP proxy is not in effect when your connecting to an HTTPS server unless on firefox you select all for the same proxy and it has a SSL layer to connect through, then your screwed which is known as a HTTPS supportive proxy.
No matter what the IP address, when you log in you still need a user name & password to get into yout account, and your IP addresss is not part of the stored log in procedure.
Now that should end arguement on signing in. You can sign in to your account whereever in the world you are on almost any type of configured computing device including PDAs and Cellphones.
