Just to say that Google approved my application within about three minutes of replying to their validation email.
Approval of some sites at least must be on a reputational basis, rather than a human visiting the site.

Can you check your logs to see if someone visited? It was not difficult to spot the person who approved my site appearing, followed by various testers over the next few days.

3 minutes is possible but very impressive. For us I think it took around 2 hours.

I applied on a Thursday evening, the night before the 4th of July. The Adsense people obviously took off for the long weekend holiday, because I wasn't approved until bright and early Monday morning.

It took 4 minutes for them to approve my account - but at the time I did it, in the US, it would have been in the middle of the day ;)
I also waited a couple of weeks after it was launched.

I applied late one night, then signed on early the next afternoon and found I had been approved. I was impressed!

Same as Jenstar. We applied July 3rd, and didn't get a response until July 7th. But that's just fine. :)

I must have applied when the site checker person was bored... It took Google around 30 seconds to start looking at my site and then another minuite to accept. :)
