Adsense cheque to Indian publishers

Well, I am using adnsese from a year and my earnings are so so..
but recently .. I have not recieved my cheque marked to be dispatched on "Feb 27 2006" , I waited (thought delay in postal services etc.) and finally as per guidelines of google I sent a mail to google on April 2 2006, they told that they are doing stop on that lost cheque etc. So uptill now its assumed that the cheque is lost in transfer and they will reissue the money .

But also.. the cheque marked dispatched on March 27 2006 has also not arrived. usually it arrives at my place before 10 of the month.. mostly around 7th day of the month.

Now I am worried as cheque prior to last month as well as to this month seems to lost.

Is there any other Indian webmaster facing delay / lost in cheque deliveries recently?

Also , if there is really postal problem then whom should I ask.. I went to local post office and they said there are no such mails for me.

Well.. earlier I did recieved mails from google on very same address.

I received my cheque for Feb on April 4th or 5th (dispatched on 27th March). This was my first cheque and I'm in Mumbai. What city you are in?

I hope Google introduces EFT for India soon.

It should reach within 15 days from the date of payment.

If not then you should contact your area postman (not the post office but the person who is handling your particular area) and ask him to keep an eye on your AdSense cheque and deliver it safely to your doorstep.

Takes 15-21 days . It comes from Singapore. Normally dispatched 4- 5 days from payment date given in adsense a/c.

This is a very practical suggestion. Its a shame really that one has to resort to this but sometimes unavoidable. If you keep the postman happy by tipping him (Diwali Bakshish!) once or twice every year, your mails will never get lost :) (or at least the ones that have reached your local post office).

The address fields in AdSense is too small for most Indian addresses. Just check if you have put your complete address.

I got the check on 5th april as usual. I am in Bangalore. Last month also there was no problem....

I agree. But sadly, the problem is already there! So why not to spend $1 when you are at least getting $100? After all everything comes down to money in India (sorry if i am exaggerating it).

Thats true and many a times i have seen postman tearing off the corner to see the whole address line! And who knows this is the case he comes to know whats there in that envelope!

I did went to local post man, he says that if there is no DAAK (post) then how he can deliver.

Now I am thinking to move to one level up .. ie the main post office ...

well, prior to FEb.. everything was fine.

I recd the Feb earning cheque on 13th april.. generally it arrives from singapore by 5th.

I think you will only lower your chances of getting your cheque next time by abusing any of the post department personnel. Do not do that, instead write email to AdSense support and find specific email of Singapore AdSense unit who are in charge of sending cheques to Indian sub continents. Tell them your story and make sure they post to the right address and with clear address lines easily readable by anyone (especially the postman who does not know English well).

Ask Google to reissue the cheque, it might have got lost. I got my feb cheque on April 1 by post. In the last 2.5 years, I have not received 1 cheque, otherwise receive it monthly by post. Google reissues cheques very promptly and you get in 15 days

I havn't abused anyone but I think because of our postal system I have already faced so much problem and mental stress...
Though I met to mail post office people etc..
and everyone said that if its "NORMAL POST" then we can't do anything , there is no way to find it out.

Now this Postal Dept. has no right to do this,do they all get paid just to give problem to us?

What if the Postman is the real cause , not delivering mail because he seems to be a orthodox.. may be casteism ..
Really .. i m stucked at nowhere.

why don't you just use secure check if you worry about that much?
You rather to take the risk of lost the check of $100 or more(perhaps much more) than just spend $2x for using secure check?
I am not live in India and have no way to know what's the situation of your post system. but if spend extra $2x can get me the check I need every month without worry about lost or somone steals it, and spend time to complain and ask what I can do..... Then I definitely will use secure check.
