Guys pls don't laugh me if you are making $200/day. Im
just more than happy to share with the folks here. It is a real satisfaction to see my website grows.
My first target, keep the record and made $600/month.
My visitors are "regulars" being a newspaper type site. Lately, the ads have all been the small, low paying, rarely changing and boring ads. I've tried everything on the list to improve income. colors, shapes, position, etc.
Getting very discouraged with Adsense because it's become an important part of my income and really thought I'd get up to that $100 a day mark. Any "other" suggestions?

- RSS your news data. Post it on rss directories (there's hundreds around). If your content is good, people will sign up to it.
- Create a news archive; allow people to get to old stories - this should help grow your traffic over time, as the older material may still pop up in searches.
- Submit your site to Google News. No guarantee they will take it up, but we've done it a few times with varying success; it's definitely worth trying.
- Categorise your content. This may not be applicable, if your content is all on one topic, but if it's a general news site, try splitting it into 'Showbiz', 'World Affairs', 'Local News', etc... You don't add to your content, but you can split it into a nunber of different pages, and improve your chance of getting ranked in the serps.
- submit the site to news directories, and as many human-edit directories as you can find.
3,500 uniques a day isn't tonnes, and you're not likely to get $100 for that - but if you multiply your traffic by ten, as long as it's done sensibly, you should see you earnings go up accordingly.
My site only rank good in yahoo, so I've yet to work on google which should give me much more traffic.
The good thing is, my site has some good information that would attract visitors to come back everyday. As more visitors come, the accumulated traffic grows steadily.
And seems Im getting better smart-priced recently. Lets hope it will keep on.
My only worry is that click fraud would happen one day. It may not be caused by me, it may be caused by some crazy guy who clicks on my ad 1000 times for no reason and makes me banned. I always know I shouldn't put all my eggs into one basket. However, only this basket fits me....

Well, obviously we all hope that doesnt happen. I think that for someone to sit there and click your link and go back 1000 times would set off some red lights pretty quick with google and I think that they would just discount those clicks as invalid and not charge the advertiser for them.
I think there would be a good chance of you getting banned for that, but someone would really have to have something against you to sit there and spend the time it would take to do that.
