1,343 impressions just one Click is bad, but when you look at the Earnings and see that the one click gave $2.50, it all changes. Before you ask, the click was on a Forum and the Forum is about a very low paying keyword! But its becoming a daily routine to have 2.5$ clicks.

Well, $2.5o on over 1300 impressions is still bad.

I get over 7-8k impressions daily with only 10-15 clicks :) but i havn't done much to fix it i need to start experimenting more but with my template its hard. one of the reasons though is because i have a forum. Although I didn't have anything above .2% heh. I dunno if its just me or its just the people that come to the site don't click

Forums and blogs (specially pics blogs) don't convert very well. People are often searching for specific information when they go there.

I would definitely do some experimenting. I have 4 times the impressions and see well over 10% ctr With your impressions you could reasonably see 1000 clicks per day.

I wish I would get 1,000 clicks per day. I have 8-9k AdSense impressions / day but only have a 0.52% CTR. I've only had it up a week though so I'm sure there's room for improvement.

There's probably a good consulting business to be made from AdSense optimization for someone with a proven record who's really good at it.

How many page views per visitors are you seeing? The more pages viewed by a single visitor will lower your ctr. A single visitor will rarely click on more than one ad.

According to the logs I'm averaging 3.x (I forget the exact number) of pages / visitor. About 1/2 of my page views are from a forum, so that would account for a large part of the low CTR, and pages other than my forum do have a higher CTR but the highest is still only around 1.5%.

You have to understand that many people do not have product- or service-oriented sites. For example, mine is an in-and-out site where regular visitors come every day for maybe 1 minute per day just to quickly get the latest info. These sites would be lucky to get 1 click in 500 impressions, and a 1% CTR would be almost unheard of.

I have around 40 clicks in the past week but earned less than $4 does it mean I am only getting ads worth 10 cents or less?

Mines kinda of an in and out site to. People come for information and then leave they don't really look at the ads. Only really put the ads on it because the hobby pays for itself.

PalX --

Have you checked to see whether the ads on your site are paid on a CPM or a CPC basis? Maybe you are being paid per impression and not per click.

This AdSense blog posts gives instructions for checking this in your reports:

What would be the typical earnings for a site averaging over 300,000 Impressions? From the discussions in this thread It should be 30,000 clicks (10%) and at a min of 10 cents per click the earnings will be around $300.

Would this be the standard amount?

10% is really high. 2% is ok.
